An interesting issue With Crystal Report
Yesterday I just found an interesting issue with Crystal Reports XI.
We had a report where in we had to place 5 group headers. After applying all the options what we observed was that the group headers would appear multiple times whenever the group values changed. Searched a lot for answers but to no avail. We're working on it and I'll post the solution as well once we get it.
Workaround::
The solution to this kind of issue is that we should put the different grouping fields in different group header and suppress those groups. Whatever values are to be shown on the report needs to go in the last group header whose corresponding Group Footer has the New Page After property set. This resolves the issue.

Another start
Another start in fact implies that the first one was a failed start. That in my case is true as well (didn't realise till I started typing these words).
I had created (or rather captured) this space a couple years back as this (blogging) was just capturing the imagination of general people at large. I thought, why not me! Who cares if I'm just one of those who keep writing without ever having a remote possibility of somebody sharing their thoughts at the same web-space. Ah, but these are all too old talks.
I guess, I've come out of those infant thoughts and have decided that I'll make my space alive by posting, to start with, all things that I learn new and which die their own natural death as they are not re-printed anywhere and I re-invent them again through the all powerful "Google".
This time I better give in to my mind and keep up what I want to start.

The First Blog
Hi to all whoever have taken pains to read my blown mind. This is my first step towards blogging about which I've come to know of very late in my life. But hope to keep on posting interesting things that happen around me or I get to know of. Very frankly, I haven't decided yet as to what will be the core thing based on which I will be getting some great people to read my thoughts and have them put in their comments. But against all hope, I am sure I'll succeed in what I think, I have set on to do.
If anybody has any thoughts about anything they would like to share with me, most welcome. Will try to keep posting pretty regularly.
